What a weekend.

We took three very different Real Rides builds to Chrome Showcase 2026 at Auckland Showgrounds - Ian's Black Beauty replica ’64 Imperial on our stand, with Patch's Apache and Shane's Nova representing us in the Elite50 showcase.

And we're stoked to come away with a Top 10 Mothers Choice Award for Patch's Apache.

A big weekend for the Apache

Patch's 1959 Chevrolet Apache has had a pretty good run lately.

It's featured as a cover truck in NZV8 and New Zealand Hot Rod Magazine, picked up a Top Five at Beach Hop, won People's Choice at our 20th Anniversary Open Day, and now adds a Top 10 at Chrome Showcase.

Shane's Nova in Elite50

Shane's Nova was also part of the Elite50 showcase.

A street-legal race car with classic styling and serious performance underneath, it's another example of the very different kinds of builds that come through the Real Rides workshop.

Black Beauty - Green Hornet replica car takes centre stage

On the Real Rides stand, Black Beauty — our '64 Chrysler Imperial Green Hornet movie replica — was definitely the conversation starter.

With its movie-car styling, working machine-gun details and the challenge of getting a car like this legally on the road in New Zealand, there's a lot going on with this one.

It was great having the chance to show it off properly and let people get up close to the details.

Thanks for coming to see us

A massive thanks to everyone who came along, stopped by the stand, checked out the cars and had a chat.

And a huge thanks to our staff, customers, friends and everyone who put in the work to get these cars and the stand ready.
