Over the past couple of weeks, we have been working hard on Damien’s badass Gen III Superbee-powered 68 Charger – the one that turned heads at the Kumeu Classic Car & Hot Rod Festival earlier this year.
Despite the time pressure we experienced a few weeks ago, we’ve continued chipping away, getting the car assembled, running, braking, driving, warranted, and wheel-aligned ready for for the upcoming Beach Hop.
Of course, what’s a classic car without a little drama? We had to scramble to make some last-minute modifications to the trailer to fit the Charger onto it. Sacrificing a few late nights was just part of the job. But, in the end, we made it to the Beach Hop – with only 15 minutes to spare! We still have some finishing in the engine bay to do, but other than that it’s a certified driving machine.
