Kayton, the owner of Real Rides, bought his 1968 RS SS Camaro not long after he turned 21, and he’s been working on it ever since! After being featured on the cover of NZV8 back in June, the Real Rides poster car took home the award for ‘Best Street Machine’ at this year’s Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival.
This is not the first time this car has brought home an award from Kumeu. Back in 2006, when Real Rides was only just starting up, Kayton’s 68 was named ‘Best Muscle Car’ – however, as you can see, it looks pretty different nowadays.
