Workshop Update – 21 Jan 2022

After the overwhelmingly positive response we received from our daily posts covering Seth’s Chevy C10 build, we’ve decided to start doing regular posts about what’s happening in the shop. Every so often we’ll take a few pics so you can follow your favourite projects. Whether you’re a friend, a customer, a customer’s friend, or whatever, we hope we can provide something interesting for you!

This week Mark’s XB Coupe has had a huge push on panel gaps and fairing.

Aaron’s FJ40 Landcruiser has been in the shop for a while undergoing an LS swap, and we are slowly getting there. There’s a lot of work involved in making an automatic 4×4 into a road legal daily driver!

Duncan’s E-type Jag got a full panel and paint from us last year, and is back in shop for final assembly before undergoing cert and compliance.

Our shop Impala, which you may remember was unveiled as last year’s Kumeu Show, has been sold. We are currently finishing up the last few jobs we need to get done before we finally get it running. The pro-charged 496 is sure to turn tyres real good!

Zane’s 57 Chevy is in for a 4 wheel disc brake conversion.

Seth’s 67 C10 has had the tray painted and assembled, and we are making just a few final modifications before the oak deck is laid. You can read our coverage from the start of the build here.

And finally, after a big rebuild, Sean’s Datsun 280Z is finally finished! The car got to celebrate it’s birthday here at the Real Rides workshop not too long ago, so we’re sure Sean is looking forward to having it back!
