We started on another new project this week. Brett’s 56 Chevy is here to get its floor and trunk pans replaced. First step was to get the body off the chassis. It took 2 guys working solid for a day to get the car from driving onto the hoist to as you see it now. The chassis was sent off to be blasted, and now it’s time to start cutting!
Also this week, we finished up a refresh on Simon’s XY Falcon engine bay. We’ve spent about 2 weeks so far on this old girl. First up we stripped the area back to bare metal, then welded up some unnecessary holes. We did a full strip down of the front suspension in preparation for all new joints and bushes. Everything was masked, prepped, and painted, before being reassembled. We should hopefully have the headers back from Pro Coat in the next couple days, after that we can get them refitted to the car along with the motor and box.
