For those of you who don’t know, we built the majority of this 63 Impala in 12 days back at the start of 2020, in preparation for the Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival. Since then the project has fallen by the wayside a bit as we worked on other (paying) jobs, but now we’re happy to announce it’s complete!
After being imported from Japan, this Impala originally came into our shop for a simple panel and paint job, however the owner decided to abandon the project and put it up for sale. A sucker for unfinished projects, we snapped it up and formed a new vision for the SS.
You can go back and follow our progress over those first 12 days here, otherwise Marcus Gibson from NZV8 has done a fantastic write-up about the build which you can read for free online here.
